lesson 9
The Judge
Jesus said that the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in his name, will lead you to all truth and He, the Paraclete will reprove the world of Judgment, of Sin and of righteousness.
He will judge between the righteous and the sinners. The righteous will have their names in the Book of Life and will eat from the Tree of the everlasting life. In other words he is tree which has to bear fruits of everlasting life who was not producing fruits for a long time.
The fig tree which was barren for a long time is now producing fruits. Now let’s go through the parable of the Barren Fig Tree,
Luke {13:6-10} He spake also this parable; A certain [man] had a fig tree planted in his vineyard; and he came and sought fruit thereon, and found none. Then said he unto the dresser of his vineyard, Behold, these three years I come seeking fruit on this fig tree, and find none: cut it down; why cumbereth it the ground? And he answering said unto him, Lord, let it alone this year also, till I shall dig about it, and dung [it: ] And if it bear fruit, [well:] and if not, [then] after that thou shalt cut it down.
Unlike Jesus, the Son of God, who was born to a Virgin Mother, the Son of Man needs a Father and Mother to be born here. They are the caretakers of that Fig Tree, especially his mother. And that certain man (God or the Heavenly Father) asked the caretaker itself to cut it down as it was not producing fruits in the three years that he came looking for it. And the caretaker refuses to obey the command and requests him to provide one more year; after that if it was not bearing fruits then that certain man could cut it down.
In the entire Bible this caretaker is the only person who refuses to obey God and still get away with it. (Refer ‘About’ to know about the price the caretaker had to pay for that)
When the Father is ready to wait for some more time the elder son is impatient. This is the same Fig tree that was cursed (symbolically) by the Elder Son when he couldn’t find any fruits but only leaves on it, Let no fruit grow on thee and no man eat of thee hereafter forever. (Mark 11:14) Why else did Jesus curse the Fig Tree when he knew it was not the season for figs? (Compare this with the elder son standing outside when the Father celebrates the return of the Prodigal Son. The fig tree in turn attempted to tarnish the image of the Elder One. Go to ‘Trivia’ to learn how he tried to prove Jesus’ resurrection was a staged act. )
This fig tree is mentioned to bear fruits just before the end times. Mathew 24:32-33 Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh: So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.
Coming back to the parable of the Prodigal Son, we have already seen that he has come back to his father’s place empty-handed, what would be his biggest concern when he is back in the household which now belongs to his brother? Isn’t his biggest concern be the acceptance by the servants?
The Father has already accepted him with open hands and has instructed everyone to accept him. But what about the servants loyal to the elder son when that son himself is standing outside; unhappy with his Father’s attitude?
The easiest way to gain the servant’s acceptance is to dole out concessions in what they owe to the Master. That’s when he is ready give concessions to them.
Keeping this in mind read the Parable of the Unjust Steward (Luke16:1-8)
And he said also unto his disciples, There was a certain rich man, which had a steward; and the same was accused unto him that he had wasted his goods. (Note this part that the steward had wasted goods; this is a reference that he is the Prodigal Son) And he called him, and said unto him, How is it that I hear this of thee? give an account of thy stewardship; for thou mayest be no longer steward. Then the steward said within himself, What shall I do? for my lord taketh away from me the stewardship: I cannot dig; to beg I am ashamed. I am resolved what to do, that, when I am put out of the stewardship, they may receive me into their houses.
So he called every one of his lord’s debtors [unto him,] and said unto the first, How much owest thou unto my lord? And he said, An hundred measures of oil. And he said unto him, Take thy bill, and sit down quickly, and write fifty. Then said he to another, And how much owest thou? And he said, An hundred measures of wheat. And he said unto him, Take thy bill, and write fourscore. And the lord commended the unjust steward, because he had done wisely: for the children of this world are in their generation wiser than the children of light.
You can see that the Steward or Son of man became ready to take up his work as the Judge but was doling out concessions without the permission of the Father.
And the Father is happy with him. He can never be happy if the relationship between them is that of a master-servant relationship. Will any master be happy with a servant who acts unjust and causes loss by giving undue concessions to the debtors? Here the relationship is that of a father and son and the Father is happy with his son’s decisions as they are in accordance with his will. He is so happy that he praises that the children of man in their generation are wiser than the children of God itself.
Now let’s see what those two concessions doled out to the debtors are or the changes that he made in the standards of Judgment;
1.Exodus 20:2-6 says For I, the Lord, your God, am a jealous God, inflicting punishment for their fathers’ wickedness on the children of those who hate me, down to the third and fourth generation. Whoever succumbing to sin, to wickedness and does evil deeds works against the God who demands perfection in every man.
But punishing their children to the third and fourth generation for one’s iniquities was unjust. (If a person acquires properties through evil means and it is handed over to his future generations shouldn’t the punishments for those evil means also be handed over to those enjoying that property, this is the question. The answer is given in the next lesson What is going to happen) This was changed to; if a person is wicked and if he sins and does evil deeds he alone is responsible and he alone should bear punishment, not his generations.
2. Jesus said that at the time of Judgment people would be gathered on the right hand side and left hand side of the Son of man and those on the right hand side would be blessed for Heaven while those on the left would be condemned to Hell.
This is not fair. If some people are chosen for Eternal Life in Heaven that’s good, but why should all the others be punished?
An average man is a mixture of good and evil. He may be upright most of the time yet there are times when he may succumb to temptations. Is it easy for a people to resist temptations if he is confident that his acts won’t be seen or caught. So where should be his place? He might not be good enough for Heaven but that doesn’t mean that he is bad enough for Hell. So a better decision was not to awaken him from his sleep (death).
The Son of man also became wise enough to treat abortions and suicides with kindness and compassion. Earlier he was adamant that those were unforgivable sins but now he was ready to treat them on a case to case basis. What if there is a genuine reason for an abortion or a suicide! A uniform standard can’t be applied to all the cases.
Kindly go through my book ‘A day with Manual’ to know better about the standards of Judgment.
Now more important for you is to understand what is going to happen now?

Luke {21:34-35} And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares. For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth
Description: A snare is a net or a trap. And this is coming to you via a net i.e., via internet.
Mathew {24:36-41} & Luke { 17: 34-37}. But of that day and hour knoweth no [man,] no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. But as the days of Noe [were,] so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. (Daytime)Two [women shall be] grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left. (Morning and evening) I tell you, in that night there shall be two [men] in one bed; the one shall be taken, and the other shall be left. (night time). (This is reconfirmation about the internet or the e-media; where else would you find morning, evening, daytime and nighttime together; where time has can be any hour of the day depending on the location of the user)
Luke {17:22-24} The days will come, when ye shall desire to see one of the days of the Son of man, and ye shall not see [it. ] And they shall say to you, See here; or, see there: go not after [them,] nor follow [them.] For as the lightning, that lighteneth out of the one [part] under heaven, shineth unto the other [part] under heaven; so shall also the Son of man be in his day.
Mathew {24:27-32} For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For wheresoever the carcass is, there will the eagles be gathered together. Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
4b. Mark {13:24} But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, And the stars of heaven shall fall, and the powers that are in heaven shall be shaken. And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory. And then shall he send his angels, and shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth to the uttermost part of heaven. Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When her branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is near: So ye in like manner, when ye shall see these things come to pass, know that it is nigh, [even] at the doors. Verily I say unto you, that this generation shall not pass, till all these things be done. Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.
4c. Luke {21:25-33} And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken. And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh. And he spake to them a parable; Behold the fig tree, and all the trees; When they now shoot forth, ye see and know of your own selves that summer is now nigh at hand. So likewise ye, when ye see these things come to pass, know ye that the kingdom of God is nigh at hand. Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled. Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.
Isaiah 17:1-5
The burden of Damascus. Behold, Damascus is taken away from [being] a city, and it shall be a ruinous heap. The cities of Aroer [are] forsaken: they shall be for flocks, which shall lie down, and none shall make them] afraid. The fortress also shall cease from Ephraim, and the kingdom from Damascus, and the remnant of Syria: they shall be as the glory of the children of Israel, saith the LORD of hosts. And in that day it shall come to pass, [that] the glory of Jacob shall be made thin, and the fatness of his flesh shall wax lean. And it shall be as when the harvestman gathereth the corn, and reapeth the ears with his arm; and it shall be as he that gathereth ears in the valley of Rephaim.
